Opening of the "Orenburg Down Shawl" Exhibition in Zurich, Switzerland
The exhibition "Orenburg Down Shawl" with works by hereditary Orenburg knitters opened in Zurich. It will run until January 2013.
Today the exhibition "Orenburg Down Shawl" opened in Zurich, Switzerland. It presents the legendary items by Orenburg craftswomen.
The exhibition was prepared by staff of the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Russian Embassy in Switzerland. Many Swiss asked the same question: "Where can I buy a shawl like that?"
The exhibition includes works by hereditary knitters R. Saifutdinova, M. Abdulina, M. Kozlova, V. Masalimova, R. Yakupova, M. Ishmukhametova and others. The artistic value of these shawls is extremely high: each can become not only a unique fashion accessory but also an ornament of a museum or exhibition hall.
The exhibition will run until January 2013.
