The Down "Orenburg Angel" Became a New Brand of the Orenburg Region
The grand prize of the "New Brands of the Orenburg Region" contest went to Anna Sovetova's "Orenburg Angel", wrapped in the finest Orenburg gossamer shawl.
The winners of the "New Brands of the Orenburg Region" contest were announced on 5 December at the closing ceremony of the Eurasian Economic Forum, the regional government's press service reported.
The grand prize goes to the "Orenburg Angel"
The main award went to Anna Sovetova's "Orenburg Angel" – a figure wrapped in the finest lace of an Orenburg gossamer shawl. The winner was presented with a certificate for 50,000 roubles by Igor Frolenko, a member of the Union of Designers of the Russian Federation. Notably, the work was not put to an online vote, and neither the guests nor the contest participants knew about it.
Other winners
The professional jury awarded first place to Firaida Tabuldina's work "The Orenburg Down Goat". The winner was awarded a diploma and a laptop.
The online vote was won by Orenburg resident Filipp Pisarevsky's work "The Orenburg Region. Conquered Infinity", which received 4,199 votes. The author himself was doing an internship in London at the time, so his father received the prize – a camera.
