Verses for a New Year gift – an Orenburg down shawl
I will give you an Orenburg shawl,
And repeat my wishes of happiness and love:
May success not leave you in the coming year,
May the most sincere laughter fill your home!
And if you feel sad and lower your gaze –
Look how beautiful the openwork pattern is!
In it, beneath the softness of the down, is my care,
Which will keep you warm in any frost!
