More and more often, modern young women prefer to buy a stole of natural down or fur as a wedding accessory. Whether this is dictated by the whims of fashion or by practical considerations, let us try to figure out together.

News from the catwalk
Traditionally, all leading designers include wedding dresses in their collections; they are the culmination of fashion shows and a reflection of the couturier's skill. The new collections of famous Italian and French designers simply abound in bridal accessories, among which wedding stoles are the most common. Their sizes vary from a compact collar to a very voluminous scarf that is thrown over the shoulders on top of the wedding outfit, beautifully draped and fastened with a flower or a pearl brooch.

The shape, size and way of wearing such stoles are mainly determined by the material they are made of. As for fur wedding stoles, knitted pieces of mink or soft rabbit fur are most often used. In summer, stoles of flowing chiffon, natural silk and lace come to the fore. However, the most versatile option is handmade openwork stoles knitted from the finest goat down. They are skilfully decorated with beads and pearls, with the most exquisite patterns selected.

How to choose a stole for a wedding dress
Fitted wedding dresses, Greek-style outfits and mermaid-style dresses look best with a voluminous stole. A wedding stole will be perfectly paired with elegant glovesmade of the same material.

The wedding dress and the stole should differ in texture; the only exception is a combination of lace fabrics, which should not differ. It is acceptable to combine a fine down stole with a fur cape or short fur coat, but only if the stole covers the head rather than the shoulders.
For lovers of chic yet refined looks, stoles inlaid with beads or rhinestones are suitable; a great choice for the striking look of a luxurious bride is the fashionable stole with Swarovski rhinestones
How to wear a wedding stole properly

A semi-transparent lace stole is wrapped around the shoulders and arms, fur capes intended for the cold season are thrown over the dress, and chiffon ones are wrapped around the neck, leaving the loose end at the back. A soft down stole can be tied in a neat knot in the centre or fastened with a designer brooch in the shape of a flower or bow.
What a wedding stole does

- Like any other accessory, a wedding stole completes an outfit. By softening shapes and lines, it adds mystery and femininity to the bride's look.
- On winter days, during outdoor photo shoots and in a banquet hall with the air conditioning on, it protects the bride from cold and wind.
- With a stole over her bare shoulders during the ceremony at the registry office, the bride will feel much more comfortable. In church, during the wedding ceremony, the head can be covered with a snow-white stole.
