What makes openwork vests attractive
Women's vests knitted from warm yarn have always been liked by girls and women. This item of clothing combines several indisputable advantages. Firstly, it can protect against the cold. Secondly, a beautiful vest is appropriate both outdoors and in the office. Thirdly, a vest is much lighter and more comfortable than a sweater or jacket. Fourthly, it can become the accessory that makes a lady irresistible.
Popular materials for knitted vests
Beautiful women's vests are knitted from various yarns: cotton, wool, down, synthetics. Each type has its own properties.
Items made from artificial fibres can be very beautiful thanks to a complex knitting pattern and bright colours. However, they do not keep you warm at all, and they also build up static, harming the body. Synthetics do not "breathe" and can cause allergic reactions.
Items made of cotton threads are good in the warm season. They complement a look perfectly. Such things are pleasant to the body and do not irritate the skin (if dyed with good-quality dyes). Cotton also has a drawback: when washed, the item does not keep its original shape. Vests of natural cotton fibres will last only one season.
The main advantage of woollen vests is their ability to keep the body warm and protect it from wind and cold. Wool holds its shape perfectly and at the same time remains elastic. Woollen vests are knitted with textured patterns. Mostly these are various "cables". Intertwining and diverging in different directions, the patterns give the items an attractive look.
The drawbacks of wool include its "habit of prickling". The lack of softness of woollen yarn sometimes leads to unpleasant sensations. Direct contact of the vest with the skin can be avoided by wearing it over a thick blouse, turtleneck or dress.
An item made of down yarn will not cause unpleasant sensations. Natural goat down is the ideal material for creating light, warm and amazingly beautiful vests. Using openwork knitting, needlewomen create true masterpieces. Intricate patterns combined with delicate down will make the owner of the vest the most attractive person wherever she appears.
Who vests suit
Vests are such a successful type of clothing that they suit absolutely everyone. They are worn by adults and children, by the young and the grey-haired.
When choosing vests, some rules should be followed. For example, delicate down ones will only suit females past childhood. Men in a "cloud" of fine fibres will lose their masculinity. And little children will constantly touch the protruding fibres, put them in their mouths and pull them out of the fabric.
Short vests are worn by young girls, longer ones by older ladies. Though this is not a rule at all. Long, knee-length vests also look great on slim young women if they go with the rest of the outfit.
Which vest is better?
There is no limit to the variety of styles of such a seemingly simple wardrobe item as the vest. They are made modest with buttons, solid without fasteners, with a zip, with lacing, with tucks, with clasps, wrap-over and so on.
If there are no fasteners, a themed design or inscription can be "arranged" on the chest. This option is used to emphasise a person's individuality or their affiliation with some informal group.
Women prefer beauty to themes. Those who knit themselves choose suitable colours. Slim women prefer vests that will hide their thinness, i.e. more voluminous ones. Ladies of a larger build decorate their items not with wide cables but with a jacquard pattern.
By varying the width, length and colour of a knitted vest, you can successfully shape your figure, hide its flaws and emphasise its strengths.
There is no point in preferring just one type of vest. Depending on the time of year and where she is, a woman needs different things. Some are appropriate at work, others at home, others at a party. So there should be, if not many, then several vests.
Dear ladies, knit vests – short and long, warm and light, woollen and down. And for those who have no time for needlework, we have a huge choice of very beautiful down vests. Our shop is open to customers all over the country at any time of day!
