Orenburg Residents Took Part in the Annual "Keepers of Heritage" Ceremony
At the 9th "Keepers of Heritage" ceremony in Yelabuga, Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts director Yuri Komlev was honoured and Anna Sovetova's collection was shown.
On 4 August 2017, the 9th annual "Keepers of Heritage" award ceremony was held in Yelabuga. Orenburg residents were among the participants – and among those honoured.
One of the award winners in the "Keeper" category was Yuri Komlev, director of the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts. He and the other winners were personally honoured by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, D. A. Medvedev, who called these people true keepers of history.
The festive programme included a show of the "Down Beauty" collection by Orenburg fashion designer Anna Sovetova. Using Orenburg down as her main material, Anna created costumes inspired by famous heroines of classic literature – Anna Karenina, the Tsaritsa of Shamakhan and others.
Congratulations to the Orenburg participants of the ceremony! We are glad that our fellow countrymen make a great contribution to the history and culture of the region.
