Yarn Bombing as Part of the Orenburg Shawl Days
During the Down Shawl Days, a yarn bombing event was held in the square by the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts – students, volunteers and Shalnoy Orenburg decorated the park with knitted decorations.
The Orenburg Down Shawl Days continue! Yesterday the square by the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts hosted a big and unusual event – yarn bombing, the art of so-called "knitted graffiti".
It was organised by the museum's management and staff. At 15.00, many students and volunteers gathered in the square and decorated the park with original yarn decorations. Irina Vladimirovna Bushukhina, head of the Orenburg Down Shawl gallery, and Yuri Eduardovich Komlev, director of the Museum of Fine Arts, took part in the event personally.
The staff of the Shalnoy Orenburg company did not stay on the sidelines either: we tried our hand at knitted graffiti and supported this interesting event, and our decorations became part of the overall picture.
