The Orenburg Down Shawl Travels in the Footsteps of the Legendary Poet
The exhibition "Orenburg Down Shawl. Openwork Melody", with Shalnoy Orenburg items, opened at the Pushkin museum in the village of Bernovo.
6 June is the birthday of the great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin, known, besides his many legendary works, for his special attitude to the Orenburg region. It was here that one of his most famous novels, "The Captain's Daughter", was written. We congratulate everyone on this wonderful holiday and at the same time tell you how our items "visited" the poet's friends at the Wulf family estate.
The "Openwork Melody" exhibition
On 18 May, as part of the All-Russian "Night of Museums 2019" event, the exhibition "Orenburg Down Shawl. Openwork Melody" opened at the Pushkin museum in the village of Bernovo, Tver Region. It showed the best works of Orenburg craftswomen, including items by the Shalnoy Orenburg company. Besides the items, the exhibition included books, useful down-knitting video lessons, original souvenirs by Anna Sovetova and a series of collages by Rimma Ismagilova, Muse in Shawl.
For our part, we note the success of the event and the warm reaction of the public to the exhibition. Once again we congratulate everyone on the past holiday and thank the great poet for his wonderful works and his special attitude to the Orenburg region and the Orenburg down shawl.
