A Contest of Children's Fairy Tales About the Orenburg Down Shawl
Shalnoy Orenburg launched a contest of children's fairy tales about the Orenburg down shawl and a contest of illustrations for them for its followers.
Our grandma has a grey goat,
But don't think she's a contrary one.
The little goat is good: she gives goat down,
And grandma calls her Pukhovinka…
These lines begin a wonderful poem about the Orenburg down goat. It inspired a 14-year-old girl to draw an equally wonderful illustration for it, which we are happy to show you.
How the contest came about
The child's drawing touched us deeply. Besides, we were very impressed by our visit to the Saraktash Children's Art School, where the pupils take a lively interest in down knitting. So we decided to launch a contest of children's fairy tales about the Orenburg down shawl.
5 contestants have already submitted their works – we will publish them in a special section on the Shalnoy Orenburg website. We will announce the results on 20 February.
A new contest for followers
And also – attention! – we are announcing a new contest, this time for our followers: for the best illustration of any of the submitted fairy tales. Gifts from our online shop await the winner, and you can get to know the works of the young talents throughout February.
We wish you luck and inspiration! See you in our official groups and on the company website.
