Grand Opening of the "School of Down Knitters"
On 28 April 2022, the "School of Down Knitters" opened at the Shalnoy Orenburg production site – a project of the Rodnoy Krai non-profit organisation supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
On 28 April, the long-awaited opening of the "School of Down Knitters" took place at our production site – a project of our friends, like-minded people and colleagues from the Rodnoy Krai non-profit organisation.
This became possible with the support of the Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the active assistance of the Shalnoy Orenburg company. Both the opening and the subsequent classes take place at our production site, and the master classes are led by highly experienced craftswomen with many years in the down-knitting craft. Online lessons with craftswomen taking part in the "School of Down Knitters" project are also planned for the future.
We are glad that this project – without exaggeration, a dream project – has finally seen the light of day: it has great potential and works for the future of the craft.
