Open Day at the Shalnoy Orenburg Production Site

On 1 October 2022, the Shalnoy Orenburg production site held an Open Day: a concert, a tour and craftswomen's stories about making shawls.

Dear friends, we prepared for this day for a long time – and it has come! On 1 October, one of the most important events of the year for the Shalnoy Orenburg company took place: our production site welcomed many guests for an Open Day.

The day's programme

The management, staff and craftswomen, together with friends from the Saraktash District House of Culture, prepared a large cultural and sightseeing programme. Guests listened to a festive concert and learned all the subtleties of making Orenburg shawls first-hand – from the craftswomen and managers.

Our guests

Many people important to us came: the staff of the District House of Culture, enthusiastic art historians, friends from the V. Chernomyrdin Museum and the Chumakov Museum, guests from the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Ministry of Tourism of the Orenburg Region and representatives of the tourism industry, as well as Yulia Anatolyevna Zanozina, head of the Saraktash culture department, and Ekaterina Viktorovna Kalegina, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Orenburg Region.

The guests were addressed by Nikolai Andreevich Zakharov, head of the Shalnoy Orenburg company, and Irina Mikhailovna Bolotova, head of production. Their detailed and vivid account of the long road the company has travelled resonated in the hearts of the like-minded guests.

Thank you all!

This was the first festive reception on such a scale at our production site – and, we think, far from the last. It remains to thank everyone who came to the celebration and everyone who helped prepare it all this time. Thank you! Together we will continue to preserve and enhance our unique craft.
