Every genuine Orenburg down shawl is an item of special artistic value. Practically every exhibition venue wants to acquire one or several of these handmade masterpieces for its collection, or at least for a temporary exhibition. Striving to popularise the Orenburg shawl as widely as possible, we are happy to cooperate with museums interested in showing these unique works of folk craft to visitors.
Poletaev Museum (Tuapse)
The exhibition “Beauty Bound by Thread” opened in 2020 at the Poletaev Museum of History and Local Lore. This gave every resident of Tuapse and Krasnodar Krai the opportunity to come and see with their own eyes what genuine handmade Orenburg down shawls should be like.
Shalnoy Orenburg was happy to provide its products, which since then have been a permanent part of the Poletaev Museum collection and exhibition pieces.

Prato, Italy
The exhibition project “Interweavings of History. Orenburg Shawls from Prato to the Urals”, unprecedented in scale, was launched in spring 2018.
As part of this international exhibition, Shalnoy Orenburg down products were presented at as many as 8 museum venues in the Italian city of Prato (Tuscany, Florence). Among the venues were the Textile Museum, the Museum of Natural Sciences, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the Second World War, the Museum of Palaeontology, the museum of the monastery in Vaiano, the Leonetto Tintori house museum, and the Museum of Italian Art.
The creative approach of the venues' management is noteworthy. In some museums the down shawls were presented separately, while in others (for example, the Museum of Natural Sciences) they were organically placed in the permanent exhibition — see how interesting it turned out.
The exhibition in Prato not only gathered a lot of enthusiastic reviews, but also became a most important milestone in the Orenburg down shawl gaining a “new life” at the international level.
Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts
Our like-minded people, great friends and in many ways colleagues. It is probably impossible to list all the exhibitions of the “Orenburg Down Shawl” Gallery and events organised by the Museum in which our company has taken part. So let us simply say that we have repeatedly provided, and will continue to provide, this institution with our products, which are a permanent and integral part of its collection.
The Gallery's exhibitions attract not only Orenburg residents; every event is an occasion, and the fame of the Museum of Fine Arts has long since spread beyond the Russian Federation.
