The centre of the gossamer shawl “Winter Garden” is decorated with a large, skilfully knitted flower, and around it, as the photo shows, small openwork flowers are scattered as if in a snowy garden. This is an original handmade item in pure white.
The gossamer shawl measures 120×120 cm. It contains at least 80 per cent Orenburg goat down; the rest is viscose silk. It takes the craftswoman 14 days to make such a shawl: the pattern is complex, and every element is knitted by hand. Along the edge runs a neat border with small points.
This is a fairly dense and warm gossamer shawl that will keep you warm on cold days and give you that very feeling of cosiness. It can be worn over the shoulders on top of a dress, thrown over a coat or tied over the head.
The gossamer shawl is ideal as a gift: almost all women like floral patterns. Wash it by hand in cool water and dry it spread out.
Why this item is special
01
Intricate openwork pattern
The ornament is knitted by hand and requires great precision in every row.
02
About two months of work
From preparing the down to the last stitch, the item goes through a long manual process.
03
Hand-knitted on needles
The shawl is knitted without machines — by the craftswoman's hands.
04
Living individuality
Pattern details and density may vary slightly — a natural sign of handwork.
Material and details
The item is made of unique goat down and a strong base thread — cotton or viscose silk, depending on the item. The base thread helps the shawl keep its shape, stay light and last longer.
