Gossamer shawl “Steppe Carpet” is hand-knitted from goat down with viscose silk. It is a grey shawl measuring 130×130 cm, named after the steppe expanses that are covered with grasses like a carpet in spring.
In the photo the model has wrapped herself in the gossamer shawl over a light blue dress: the shawl covers the shoulders and falls almost to the knees. The fabric looks fluffy and dense, and at the edge an openwork patterned corner and a border with small points open up.
The grey colour of natural down goes well with pastel and dark shades. The gossamer shawl can be worn as a warm cape over the shoulders, tied over the head or wrapped around the neck — the 130×130 cm size gives enough freedom.
Down with silk is light and retains warmth well. Wash the gossamer shawl by hand in cool water and dry it spread out on a flat surface.

To make your shawl last for years
1 · Washing
Hand wash in cool water with a mild wool detergent. Do not soak the shawl for long.
2 · Wringing
Gently press out the water with your palms. Do not twist, or the shawl will lose its shape.
3 · In a towel
Wrap the shawl in a dry towel and press gently to remove excess moisture.
4 · Drying
Dry flat, away from radiators and sunlight. Straighten the pattern by hand.
