We are happy to announce that in May this year the Orenburg down shawl will be presented at an exhibition in the Italian city of Prato. The event is called “Orenburg Shawls from Prato to the Urals”
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on 12 May at Palazzo Buonamici, Prato, at 16:30. The programme includes an opening ceremony, followed by a fashion show, a classical music concert and a small buffet reception.
The exhibition will run from 12 to 15 May.
Our delegation from Orenburg will accompany the exhibition from 12 to 14 May. During this time, everyone will be able to talk with staff of the Orenburg museum, clothing designer Anna Sovetova and employees of Shalnoy Orenburg, who produce Orenburg down shawls.
The exhibition will present the down-knitting craft of the Orenburg Region: shawls, gossamer shawls, stoles and warm shawls — the best works of the most experienced craftswomen. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of warmth and cosiness, marvel at the skill of the knitters and even purchase examples of unique Orenburg down shawls.
