Winter cold, autumn slush, spring draughts — against all of this the grey shawl “Classic” works like a reliable shield. It is one of the warmest models in our store's range of down shawls, and the secret of its warmth is the dense knitting of the main fabric.
The 110×110 cm shawl is hand-knitted from goat down with cotton thread. The photo clearly shows its classic composition: openwork diamonds at the top edge, a calm dense centre and a wide border with a mesh pattern ending in sharp points. The natural grey colour with a warm brownish sheen looks noble and needs no complicated combinations.
“Classic” is worn over the shoulders on top of a dress, as in the photo, wrapped around you in a cool room or tied over the head in frosty weather. Such a shawl easily becomes the highlight of a wardrobe: strict in colour but with an expressive openwork edge.
The item is one of the Orenburg items of special artistic value from the state register of folk arts and crafts. Caring for it is easy — gentle hand washing in cool water and drying spread out.

To make your shawl last for years
1 · Washing
Hand wash in cool water with a mild wool detergent. Do not soak the shawl for long.
2 · Wringing
Gently press out the water with your palms. Do not twist, or the shawl will lose its shape.
3 · In a towel
Wrap the shawl in a dry towel and press gently to remove excess moisture.
4 · Drying
Dry flat, away from radiators and sunlight. Straighten the pattern by hand.
