Grey shawl “Little Miss” is a compact 100×100 cm down shawl that is handy to keep with you at all times. At home, at work, visiting friends, in the car or at the dacha, it comes to the rescue whenever you want to cover your shoulders and warm up.
The shawl is hand-knitted from goat down with cotton thread. The centre is dense and fluffy, and along the edge runs an openwork border with a zigzag pattern and small sharp points. In the photo the natural grey colour has a warm graphite sheen, so the shawl looks equally good with a silk dress and with cosy homewear knits.
Its small size makes it truly versatile: folded into a triangle, it lies on the shoulders and back, and folded into a strip it warms the neck under a coat. The fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch, and the down gives that dry, light warmth for which Orenburg items are valued.
The model belongs to the section of items of special artistic value included in the state register of folk arts and crafts. To keep the down fluffy for a long time, wash the shawl by hand in cool water and dry it laid out on a flat surface.

To make your shawl last for years
1 · Washing
Hand wash in cool water with a mild wool detergent. Do not soak the shawl for long.
2 · Wringing
Gently press out the water with your palms. Do not twist, or the shawl will lose its shape.
3 · In a towel
Wrap the shawl in a dry towel and press gently to remove excess moisture.
4 · Drying
Dry flat, away from radiators and sunlight. Straighten the pattern by hand.
